Portland Place Hybrid School combines established education methods, together with innovative digital learning for students aged 10-16 years.
Families join our Hybrid School for a variety of reasons; a homeschooling alternative, to help integrate high level sport schedules, an affordable private education, medical reasons and we have proven success with anxious children.
We provide an excellent educational and pastoral experience for families seeking a more flexible learning solution.
Experienced teachers lead live, online, timetabled lessons where pupil interaction is encouraged. In addition, Students have the option to attend the physical school one day a week for more practical subjects. Class groups are small by design to help support individual progress. Our teachers are on hand to answer any questions and monitor development. Each student is part of a tutor group who come together daily with a dedicated form tutor to provide a consistent contact and outstanding pastoral care. Firefly hub & iPads are supplied to enrolled students with learning tools pre-loaded, so learning can happen anywhere there is an internet connection.
We can accomodate in-year admissions creating a flexi-schooling approach for families.
1. A unique hybrid school option. Where students learn online most of the week and attend the physical school near Regents Parks, London either one or two days a week. This enables students to engage with more practical subjects such as design, drama, sports and connect with the hybrid school students, and the wider day school community.
OR
2. Learning online five days a week for students preferring complete online schooling or unable to attend onsite.

Our hybrid secondary school courses have been designed by qualified subject specialists with years of teaching experience. The teaching covers a full curriculum for Key Stage 3 and 4. We accept students from ages 10 – 16 and they learn in a happy, creative, and supportive environment. We aim to develop in-depth knowledge through live lessons, stimulate independent learning skills and utilise an array of specialise online learning resources.
English, Maths, Science, Creative Arts, Geography, History, French, Spanish, Computer Science.
GCSE students choose 8 subjects from a wide range of options – including Business, Economics, Media, Art & Design suite.
Extra-curricular online clubs are available.

Portland Place Hybrid provides access to the best quality independent education, at less than 50% of typical school fees. Accessing the facilities and extra curricular of our establish day school when learning on-site in London either one or two days a week.
Ideal for families requiring a flexible education for young performance athletes, children involved in professional performing arts, school anxiety or simply prefer online learning. Portland Place Hybrid School is a flexible alternative for families who choose home-based learning. Students can join at anytime during the school year.
Small by design, we offer an individual pastoral experience.
Counselling and coaching are part of the curriculum and tutor groups help create daily support for students.
All enquiries and applications should be made to our Admissions Registrar who
will take you through the process. School tours can also be arranged through the
registrar.
A registration fee of £100 is payable on application.
On offer, an acceptance deposit of £1,000 is payable to secure the place.
Fees for 2022/23 are charged equally over three termly instalments of £4,000
each. Two days on-site is also available for an increased fee.
Extras such as public examination fees, books, and theatre and museum trips will
be charged at cost. Individual music tuition can be arranged with the Director of
Music and is payable on receipt of invoice.
The acceptance deposit is returned when the pupil leaves the school.
